Time here at SLS has been in short supply lately with our facility expansions and ever expanding Lusitano herd, that some of our horses here weren't getting as much time from us they deserve. After speaking with Melissa, a good friend of mine and owner of Masters Thoroughbreds, I decided to send her two of my Thoroughbreds on an extended lease for training and showing. She has the time, experience and staff to help them both reach their full potential.

The two horses I am sending her are SLS Stormy Windsong and SLS Lady Marguerite, though I am sending them for very different reasons. Dyson came to me from a track auction with a rough past and very little in the way of manners. He is stubborn, pushy and can be down right aggressive at times. He needs someone experienced with horses of his background and issues with the time to take him back to basics and start over. Lady on the other hand, is as gentle as they come with great manners and plenty of talent. She needs her training finished and the change to reach the great future ahead of her. Both horses will be in good hands with the staff at MT and I have ever confidence that they will take good care of both my babies.

I would love to introduce everyone to my stunning new Unicorn mare Princess. She was a total surprise and an amazing one at that. Yesterday I  adopted my first ever unicorn in game, only to have the aging glitch and it die in just a few Sim days. I thank Lidija dearly for breeding her horses and giving me this gorgeous girl. I hope I have a long time to love and enjoy her.

Princess has really impressed me so far, for being so young she is well mannered, willing to please, and has taken very well to early training. I see a long future ahead of this girl and can't wait to get started!

The lovely pinto Sporthorse mare I purchased from Rotherford Farms arrived early morning. I gave her a good grooming and checked her over and then turned her out to settle in before going back to work. After I finished work for the day I saddled Ballet up and took her out for a light hack on the trails in the surrounding areas so we could get to know each other and just let her relax.  When we got back I took her into the arena to see what she could do, and much to my pleasure found that she already had a good foundation in Dressage and had a lot of talent in the area. Combine that talent with floaty gaits and a willing temperament and you have what will one day be a star.
After such a good warm up I decided to see what she could do over jumps, so took her over some cavaletti then over some basic low cross rails and verticals. She took to it well and had lots of scope even over those tiny jumps, so I moved her up to the more advanced ones and just just sailed right over them. If she has similar talent in jumping out in the fields I believe I may have found a wonderful Eventing mount.

When we were done for the day I took her back to the barn and gave he a thorough grooming then turned out out in the one of our private paddocks. She will eventually go out in the mare pasture, but the first day home is never the best day for social introductions with my bunch.

I am very pleased with this stunning girl, and she will be a great addition to our show line. I expect great things from her show career and look forward to being there.
On a side note, I would like to introduce  WBK Keyla, a beautiful Akita that we have recently purchased. She is gentle around the horses and our staff, but fierce when it comes to protecting the property at night as a local burglar found out her first night here. She can generally be found roaming around the property making sure things are as they should be, but since Ballet came home the two of them have been inseparable when out in the field.

SLS Sombra Legado
SLS Evarado Legado x SLS Sarita Legado

Our second foal here at SLS was born today, a beautiful dark grey filly we named Sombra. She has all the spunk of her sire and the attitude of her dam, both of which will take her far in the promising future ahead of her here at SLS.

SLS Fenix Legado
SLS Basilio Legado x SLS Carisa Legado

Our first foal here at SLS was born this morning, SLS Fenix Legado,  a very handsome chestnut Lusitano colt. He has wonderful conformation that give him light floaty gaits and his breeds flashy movements. He is already doing well in his halter training and ground work and is a joy to work with. He may be going up for adoption after he is weaned but for now he is spending time with his dam.
