Today I am debuting two new Lusitanos here at SLS, both come from great bloodlines and have plenty of talent. This flashy pair are earmarked to enter out breeding program once they have finished their show career.

First up is SLS Tesora Legado, a flashy golden palomino mare, who is as sweet as she is eye catching. This pretty lady is not the smartest horse we have worked with, but she makes up for that in graceful gaits and a sweet temperament. She excels at Dressage and has a good deal of scope over jumps, so we expect her to do well next show season.
Next up is SLS Blanco Legado, a perfect example of Lusitano grey. He has a very traditional look about him with his bright grey coat and aristocratic build, and a wonderful temperament that makes you forget he is a stallion. He has a very sweet nature, is easy to handle and willing to give his all every time his rider asks. This stallion is a true dream to ride and already has the staff in love with him.
Overall a great month here at SLS, with new additions, new born foals, our first horses for sale, and lots of show entries due back soon.

Today we had our last two 2nd generation foals born here at SLS and they turned out to be a very striking pair, both nearly mirror images of their sires.

First up is SLS Eutimio Legado, a striking smokey buckskin colt out of Carisa, sired by Evarado. He takes a lot after his father in coat and attitude, but also has his mothers stamina and elegance. We think he will be a great show prospect given his attitude and parents.
Our second colt is SLS Benito Legado, a dark bay colt out of Sarita, sired by Basilio. This colt is is full of speed, attitude and elegance, and will do well in just about any discipline. He takes his color and mind from his sire, but his stomach could only be from his dam, and he is already using that mind to figure out new ways to get into his dam's food.

This show season has found us very busy here at SLS, as a number of horses have been entered in various competitions including Beginner and Advanced Dressage, Stallion Show, Western Pleasure, Halter and even a Three Day Event!

So far horses from SLS have competed in the Beginner Dressage and the Stallion Show and here are the results. In the Dressage Show there was a small mix up and Bas  just received a participation ribbon, but that's fine, just gives us more to practice for next time and give him valuable show experience. Evarado showing at the Stallion Competition was much different and we brought home third place! Everyone here at SLS is very proud of him right now, and don't tell the others but he really is my favorite, just so striking!

Now we are just waiting patiently, or not, for the Arabian Halter, Western Pleasure and Three Day Event show days! Wish us luck!
